I love a GM product but they have been slackin over the past years and right now is the time for them to get their **** together and make sumthin happen.
Like get sumthin out to compete like a real street truck(ie. 2wd, 400hp, dropped, etc.) and it needs to happen soon before they lose what would normally die hard faithful GM fans.

The Xtreme's weren't an attempt, just an embarassment. They just slapped a body kit on a lowered blazer/s-10. Even the 4.3 was an option, standard was the 2.2L so I doubt they had any ideas of FI in mind. Can you tell I get the "is that an old xtreme?" comments?

We should never get our hopes up. GM"s flagship is the Corvette and nothing they have built has had a better motor than what they put in it. I say we just keep building our own sport trucks it makes them more individual plus it's always fun to say you built it.

As for this SS........OK, it's a DEI special edition. With all due respect to Dale, big deal on this SS. It's nothing more than a Special edition. BTW, I don't like the large hole grille.

Hey Joe, just saw your from Phx, what area? GM has always been stubborn about there flagship, same thing happened with the 454SS. Came out the same time as the Sy. But they felt bad that the 6 banger out ran there mighty 454 by almost 2 seconds and killed it 0-60, so if you look at all the old advertising, the Syclone is in the back of the picture and the 454SS is in the front.
