Is this only for '06? My 05 says it has the 4L65e. What would the RPO code be for each one?

4L70E is just going to be a beefier version of the 60E/65E it sounds like. It has the same ratios so it's probably the same trans with some more upgraded parts.

Aren't they offering the LQ9 in the RCSB next year? I have seen a few posts on this. If it does happen people will be scrambling like mad to get their hands on these things.

There was a GM rep at out silveradoss meet and he said to expect to see a 6.0 in regular cab 1/2 tons. but he really didn't give a date. he did say the new engine will be called "Vortec Max" we might even see some higher hp ratings in 07.

the 2wd ss is a great start for a performance truck.

I would guess that 14 bolts on the diff cover would be a dead giveaway.

I'll be happy for anyone who buys one if GM actually builds one like this but pissed as hell because before I bought what I have now tried to have a (RCSB/6.0l/2WD/5 speed or auto) built and the dealer response was "no way" and "why would you want that anyway".
DUH.......................stupid salesmen.
