It probably won't look like the ****-ant 8.5" 10 bolt.
What are your guys' sources for all this tranny info. Because as of now it sounds like all a bunch of to me.

Why is GM still playing with 4 speed auto's. It sooooo 10years ago! :vomit:
To me the 70e sounds like it might be a 65e with a few different parts, just like the 65e was to the 60e. I bet the 85e is just a beefier 80e, with probably some heat treated parts. GM doesn't like to change gear ratios, so I'd expect the 3.06 first or the 2.48 first.
Anyway, wouldn't the 14 bolt in the 1/2 ton trucks require the heavier 2500 springs? I wouldn't want a stiff spring in a 2wd performance truck. Will these trucks be 1500's or 1500 HD's? That will say a lot about what tranny it might get too.

the standard half ton springs are used with the 14 bolt. nothing changed.
trans codes.
M30=4L60E
M32=4L65E
M70=4L70E
the 4L70E will be used behind the 6.0L H.O.'s. including the LS2 and LQ9.
another interesting thing i found is that the 6.0L is going to be available in the half ton version of the suburban and i believe tahoe for 06' rated at 335hp. from the looks of it the 300hp 6.0L may be gone. i need to get up front to check on this at work though to confirm. (i work for a dealer).
