yeah they were suppose to have the g80 and 3.73's. i gernaded mine and didnt even know it at the time, thought i had a problem with the tranny. i drove it for almost two days after it went pop. (i was a rookie didnt know anything bout it then or pt.net) took it to the dealer and they replaced everything in the rear end. then come to find out later on they had swapped my g80 for a stock open rear end. but shortly after that i got an eaton and loved it till the spider gears broke on me and then i stepped up to a detroit tru-trac and have never looked back.

That picture of the front spoiler looks like it is ABS plastic and looks like it could still use some work, i just fitted my new "original fiberglass" valance tonite and it fits perfect! The one in the pictures looks a little odd around the bottom lip of the spoiler and also looks strange up around where the spoiler attaches to the bumper like it didn't mold perfect. Just my .02 cents.

if you really want to know what you have check the sticker in the glove box. it should say on it g80 and then code for the gear i think is a gu6 for the 3.73. i think the gu5 code is 3.42 and if you dont see g80 on the sticker then you have an open rear diff.

Good info on the G80, I had no idea I had a "locker"...turns out my Eagle GT's just had traction issues lol.
Man, this thread has a wealth of information in it if you're willing to sift through 107 pages.
Red, about that 5.9 Dakota I ran...I was embellishing a bit; we only got to run 1/16th or so...he definitely would have pulled on my stock setup if we would have gone longer.
Which brings me to this...I'm fixing to buy either HPTuners Suite (and take my time with a done by me tune) or the Pacesetter coated LT's + ORY...you guys all know what the "stock" RST setup is; which will give me better results...the tune or the LT package?

here is the one with the rst cat back and pacesetter lts with ory.
my $.02 is to get hpt, cuz there are things you can improve now and it is easier to learn as you build. so when you start to add performance parts youll be ready to tackle the tune and with the 5-speed you can take all the tq management off and get a touch more out of that 4.8. if ya need some help ill show ya my tune for the removal of the tq management.
