Is your truck an Automatic? As far as I know Regency started out just making these trucks in red or black with a 5spd. Then they expanded to 5.3/ Auto reg cabs, then extended cabs... well you get the picture. As far as how rare the silver/ black combo is, hard to tell because Regency is closed and I think they were the only ones that kept track of this. I feel pretty comfortable in saying that anyone who owns a Regency has a rare vehicle because now that they are closed you can't get them anymore. Hope this helps!
My truck is a 4.8L 5spd. Its got just over 9k miles on it too xD

This is correct. 2004 I believe is the first year they started making the "RST" but regency had been making conversion trucks long before that. With the documentation that came with mine (im the only owner and i got EVERYTHING with it when i bought it) it says they made 300 the first year. Seeing as they had red/black stripes or black/red stripes you would THINK that means 150 of each, but only regency knows for sure. In 2005 after I got mine, i began to notice they were making them in all kinda different colors and extended cab with auto and all that good stuff, so after 2004 I cant be much help, but rest assured it is definately a rare vehicle.

Silver05Rst as far as your truck, your truck might be a little rare because I don't see too many of the 4.8/ 5spd outside of the red and black trucks. In fact the only one I have every seen is my buddies white 2006 RST that came with the 4.8/5spd. Usually they are 5.3/ Autos....

MAKE THAT 4 GMC RST's here... mines an 05 black with red stripes. Im in NJ. I only seen one other RST here and it was a john moss.... i bet if they made 300 in 04, and 1/5 are GMC's that would make 60 gmc's. I have never seen a red GMC with black stripes so i doubt they exist. I have only seen black ones. If all this coincides with the following years then in 05 if they made 300 like the previous year. the numbers would be about the same.... im just rambling. idk if any of this is true.

hey thx all for your input!!!! It helped alot in telling my wife that theres no chance in hell im selling it xD one more question tho... i'm not that big of a gear head so... if i put a performance (comp cam) cam in my 4.8L, do i need to change anything or add anything to the engine?

nope you can put just a cam in...but i will tell you that you'll end up wanting Long Tube headers to get rid of the shorties that're on the truck...then you'll want to get a tune done on the computer and you'll probably want to switch out that rear diff to give ya some real traction...it's a thing called the go fast bug...welcome to the club!
no i think they did make a red w/ black stripe sierra....could have sworn i saw a pic of one somewhere one time........if you're in NJ we need to get a lil NY/NJ meet at englishtown!!!
