not to change topic, well, actually yes to change topic lol but does anyone know the compression ratio of the 4.8? I tried searching around for it for like 20 minutes but I couldn't find it. I'm gonna guess around 9.0:1?

I would say you are correct. If it was any higher you would have to run something better than 87 octane from the factory.

yeah the gears are 4.88's

i was taking it easy, i could have pushed harder, but i was worried about running up on someone pulling out of a driveway or farm equipment. the funny thing is i only see that road maybe three times a year and it feels like i have driven it everyday of my life.

Need some help fellas. I am almost certain my truck has a 2/4 drop on it. I know that the Regency info says 1.3/3 but I've measured and it is a 2/4 drop. I have been exchanging words with a guy over at GMFS about this and I need to know if I am crazy or not. Anyone else ran into this?

regency told me that it was 1.5" in the front and 3 in the rear, but considering the quality of their work i dont think they know. basically yes it is a 2/4 drop but ground force probably told regency that as a selling point so when regency went to contract with gm, they would cover it under warranty, cuz its not that big of a change. i have talked to ground force directly about my suspension and i cant remember what the guy told me, but when i told him i had a rst he knew exactly what was on there, they have files on these truck at ground force. phone # 724-430-2068
