I only have experience with the 220 so I can only give you an opinion based on what I have. Bigger is not always better (in this case).
Very true. Big cams in a 4.8 need forced induction or spray. I plan on doing a t-56 and a 150 shot in the 4.8, so the low end won't be killed completely.

Hellz ya i will!!! Im not very good at big installs like a cam so i got a local race shop installing it for me for around $300

Ill get a vid posted after its in which could be a week or too (whenever it gets here)

Also he said i wouldnt have to change the springs due to the fact that the motor only has 12,000 miles on it still and they would be fine.

Went to the track this past weekend and did a couple passes... horrible horrible times tho...

My best was a 15.8 @ 87 mph... My reaction time sucked and my back end couldnt hook up. It was bouncing all over the dang place. So ordered a set of traction bars to put on the leaf springs to hopefully solve that problem...

Anyone know what the 4.8 should do at the track with a tune, cam, and all the other RST features around so i have something to compare too? just curious...

Unfortunately 15.8 is about it. I haven't been to the track yet. May head that way Friday. I have LTs and a tune. But with a manual timing is a big factor. You might get 15.4 with a good hook up.

Thinking about an ls6 cam. It sounds like a Good daily cam.

Edit: picked up one cheap. Cam, pushrods and springs for $150. Now I just need to buy time to swap it.
