WOOOT!!!!!!! I had a new personal best today... 15.60 @ 88.24mph with a .66 reaction time... Im still having UBER problems with getting the tires to stick... besides going to slicks idk. I put traction bars on it for today and it helped alot, just not enough on the start...

P.S. Here's a clip of me racing my co-workers 5.0 stang LAST week... Please excuse the camera work (a.k.a. Thumb and steady hands, LOL)

Nice. I hit a 15.6 last night too! Congrats! Wonder what change will be with your cam swap. I don't know what the LS6 cam will do for me.

I haven't even looked for a dyno yet. I did however find a 5.3 cheap. I haven decided yet but at the end of August I may swap engines. 5.3 or 6.0. Don't know yet. Everyone is going to say 6.0 but I've seen some fast 5.3s. It is going to be a budget swap. I'll have more than enough cash to swap a 5.3 but doing a 6.0 leaves less room for error.

I totally know what u mean by budget swap. I was thinking the same thing at one point by going with the 5.3 over the 6.0... The one thing that will help u budget wise on the 5.3 vs the 6.0 is i was told ur current tranny will bolt right up to the 5.3, but the 6.0 u would have to buy a bigger one and if ur gonna buy a bigger one u might as well do it right the first time and slam a t-56 in it which sets u back about $2500 lol... So 5.3 is the smart way to go on a budget. You might be losing a little torque over the 6.0 but the HP is the same.

Wish that dang lottery would pick the numbers i buy

Lol. I can find 5.3s between 500-750 all day. Found one with 75000 for 550. If I was doing it sooner I would go get it. But I'm waiting till I go home to Ohio at the end of August because my parents have all the tools I need. Plus I'll have an entire week or two to do it in. All though I'm betting only 3 days or less.

Silver05RST, just remembered there is a member on here that is running the nv3500 behind a 6.0. Said it was holding up good last I talked to him. Plus there was no difference between any different engine swap. Went in the way it came out. So that is something we should consider. T56 in the future, but not at that price tag.

Damn. That was stupid cheap. I'd love to find that on Craigslist. All I ever find are 4.8s.

I did a de-wife mod.....it was expensive. LOL.
