New heads are not necessary for 500 whp. You can mill, or port some GM heads and they will be more than enough. You don't need to build a stroker for that whp goal either.

I'm looking to make about 400-450 whp with a cammed, stock block, bolt on + spray 4.8...
for me i'm looking for constant power with less chance of break (that's why i'm using the go big or go home method)....and i'm not looking for 500 - 600.....realistically i should be between 850 - 1100 depending on my tune & spray...

I dont know... this is the exact cam i got... http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-2215/

If its not a custom grind where's the best place to look?

Also... When i got my tune through nelson perf. i had a Jet stage 1 chip on my stock PCM. When i swapped them out i still put the chip on the performance PCM. Should I have done that? Or should i of taken it off when putting the Nelson PCM in?

its not a custom grind, edlbrock has someone mass produce the cam and then sells them as an off the shelf cam. the reason your waiting so long is there probably isnt enough orders to get the manufacture to grind that series. id say get my money back and find one through a pro shop. you might even be able to get someone to grind a cam with those specs for close to the same price.

how is your pcm running as performance chip? is it a handheld unit that flashes the pcm?

http://www.jetchip.com/JET_Chips_Modules.asp

Check out that site. I got the Stage 1 cause i dont need to put 91 octane in it nor do i have the 180 thermos. it plugs into the pcm between the PCM and the truck harness. No handheld, just plug in and go.

Is a mass air flow sensor worth the $$$ to get?
