So i just got done reading my truckin mag that just came in the mail and found out some interesting info...

Apparently if u take the 5.3L engine and put the stock 4.8L pistons; a COMP XR281HR .571/.573 lift, 228/230 duration split, 112 LSA; Trickflow GenX 205 heads; FAST LSXR intake; 1 and 3/4 LT headers......... That setup apparently makes peak hp at: 501hp and peak torque at: 452lb-ft

Can ya say HOLY !!!!!!!!!!!!

Mind you, the block, crank, and rods are all stock too

Clutch problems again... I think?

I power shifted 1st-2nd and it went good, but when I pushed the clutch down for third it felt different. When I push It all the way to the floor it kind of sticks for a moment then comes back up. And after that, the clutch engages at the very end. Before this happened it engaged about in the middle. The clutch, pressure plate, slave cylinder, throwout bearing are all new. A while back Red told me the squeeking my clutch pedal was making(which it still makes) was the clutch master cylinder going out. Could that be it going out?

Sounds like you are getting blow by inside the master, unless your fluid is low. Check your fluid and if everything is ok there, I'd say you're looking at needing a new master.

Well when I woke up this morning all seemed normal? I'll check the fluids when I get off of work today and see how it is. But I kind of hope the master cylinder is going out. That squeaking is driving me crazy.

Here's another problem with the tune... some douche kept riding my butt in the hammer lane when i was heading home, so of course i dropped it into 3rd and took off. Since i still dont know the exact mph i was going, i'd have to guess i wasnt going much over 100 maybe 110 and still i had wicked accleration up until then... Once i hit around that mark, its like i hit a damn wall. It acted like the truck had a limiter on it...

I need to get this thing worked out...

Fyi, neither of these kits comes with a gauge. One thing you'll need to install one of these kits is a o2 bung, and I recommend a stainless steel one.

i had a box custom made to fit behind my seats of my 07 rst. its built at an angle against the back seats but the subs are mounted on the side opposite the seat to fire towards the rear, so that i can have my seat all the way against the box and still have leg room. it was also built on each end to have the wood extend out further to keep the subs from hitting the rear wall and slightly allow it to have a ported feel with good kick bass. and i paid $150 from a local mobile electronics shop. was made to the dimensions of my truck behind the seat so it fits flush. ill post pics when i get a chance if youd like. and yes they are alpine type r shallow mount 12's with a JL jx1000 amp and it slams.
