72C2264 for the lts
82-1175 for the ory

those numbers are straight off of pacesetter's web page.
the 3 bolt flanges (mdl#21121) that i found are from hedman so im gonna call them today and see if they have them in something other than plain steel. if not im just gonna get some galv. spray for where i weld them up, to keep them from rustin apart on me.

Red, what shifter do you use with the t-56? Any mods to raise it up? The t-56 will bolt up to the 4.8 too?

i have the pro5.0 shifter base, cuz it has the adjustible stops on it. the handle is home made. when i drop the tranny to change out my slave ill take some pics of the shifter and the trans. and any other pics you guys request. i bought a f-body polyurethan trans mount and bolted it right to the truck cross member. had to have a drive shaft made. 1 cuz the splines are different and two i knew i was gonna be rippin on it so i went to a local shop and had a circle track shaft made. cost me bout $500 with the forged 26 spline yoke, but known its not gonna go through the floor when im turnin 6 grand at 100+ mph is worth it imo. im bad with rememberin every step of the swap in order but if you guys ask i can tell you anything bout the swap you wanna know. and yes the t56 will bolt to the 4.8 but i dont think youll turn out enough torque to make it worth while. not unless you go with a 4.10 or 4.30, maybe even have to go with a 4.56. but then you start to loose gas mileage in 6th. i think turbogibbs is runnin a 5.16 now, but he was runnin a 4.56 and was turnin out like 2500rpm at 80mph (i think). right now with my 3.73 im turnin 1600rpm at 80mph in 6th. and also if you swap up to a t56 your cruise wont work in 6th. there is no 6th in the truck vcm so it doesnt have a cruise setup.

Default RST Swap Checklist

  1. T-56
  2. F-body slave (complete)
  3. Shifter base of your choice
  4. Polyurethan trans mount for an f-body
  5. Drive shaft (recommend forged 26 spline yoke and hd u-joints)
  6. 26 spline clutch (i prefer the LS7 Clutch and flywheel)
  7. Royal Purple syncromax (recommended)
  8. Peice of plate roughly 12"X12" to cover old hole
  9. F-body lower shifter boot (rubber)
  10. 5/8" rod bout 16"-19" long (custom bending and threading required)
  11. Shift **** of your choice
  12. Reprogram VSS (copied f-body stock, might not work in all cases)
  13. Console w/ glove box bezel (recommended, i love it)

hope this helps

btw, 6.0 motors are a direct swap no extra parts needed. take one out drop one in.
