nah i bought the console and the amp and sub came in the console. you have to take them out to have room for the shifter. if you look at the pics i took of the console you will see the insides and that is where the bose sub was.

So, Does Anybody know if you can use the center fold down seat with the T56.... Maybe somebody makes a relocation kit for the Shifter, so you can use the original hole and don't have to take off the cup holders? Trying to do all my research before i go out and change it out... So the things needed to do the Swap

1. Gears will need to be changed in the future? 4.10 will work? I currently have 3.73's

2. The Drive shaft needs to be fixed up, so that it will mate with the tranny?

3. Any throw out bearing or anything?

4. New clutch plate... possibly LS7

5. 5spd coming out, so no need to change the crossmember or need for new pedals.... Master and Slave cylinders will work with T56?

6. Possibly new hole in the floor of the truck, for the shifter to come up through? Rubber grommit to fill the hole

7. What about Electronics? i know the cruise control won't work in 6th, but since i have the 5spd already... the reverse lights... and other electronic, and oil lines should hookup directly?

8. Those are all the things i can think of that i would need to do the swap.... if you guys know of anything else, or anything that i should change, let me know.... Thanks For the Help.

there isnt a relocator kit that i know of that will put the t56 shift in the stock 5-speed hole.

you dont have to change gears unless you are in a hilly area or are towing, but take off and 6th are gonna be really low, cuz of your 4.8 not turnin out much torque. so a gear swap would be recommended

yes you have a 10 spline yoke on the front of your drive shaft. you can see your local drive line specialist and maybe you just need to change your yoke and u-joints. i opped to beef up the drive shaft cuz i knew i was gonna put alot more stress on the shaft, than the stock could probably handle.

you can use your stock slave and stock master form your 5-speed, but from what i have see i recommend goin to the f-body slave. its a direct replacement. just have to take the quick connect off of the slave and connect your truck line to it. and while you have it disconnected do the drill mod. i learned the hard way by havin to take it apart several times.

you can get the ls7 clutch, flywheel for around $400+ at speed inc.(i think they are a sponsor on ls1tech)

no you will need the f-body lower shifter boot (rubber) and a t-56 trany mount. i went with the polyerathane one.

you have a reverse plug that you will use on the t56 and the vss plug. to my knowledge that is all that you will have under there to hook up. there are no oil lines on the tranny for a cooler or anything, that i know of.
