i was wwondering what trans came in the rst with the manual?

same as any other chevy 1500. trusty nv3500.

+1 on this. The 5spd is not that great of a tranny. Spend the extra money and put in a T56 six speed. I am so tired of my 5spd I am about to take out a loan just so I can do the six speed swap.

yeah whoever said trusty nvg3500 was seriously mistaken...trusty is not the word i would use to describe the tranny...i mean it does it's job but if you ever have to put any $$ into it for repairs look to dish out some cashola

it's not that it's weak...just can't hold up to big power....it's fine if you need it for a work truck but not a good tranny for goin down the track...if you want manual you should look at the t-56

Yep, they are ment to move around heavy trucks and their payload, not racing around town or down the track.
