Default Silverado SS Tcase

I am needing info on this tcase as far as definate power levels this thing has seen is it similar to the 4472 tcase as far as not electronic with a visous coupling or what? The reason i ask is I am trying to figure which to use in my conversion.I am building an AWD Xtreme that will have a 4L80e, the tcase that i have already is the 4472. The 4L80e has a 32 spline output shaft and the 4472 has a 27 spline input shaft. I have found an adapter and conversion kit for it,but I would have to have the tranny rebuilt and a new output shaft put in.I just found out that the SS tcase (a NVG 149 I believe)will bolt directly up to the 4l80e. I figured this was the best forum to post in since it was for SS's.

I am thinking the awd is 30 spline and for sure it will not mate up to the 80E unless the output shaft is changed

You can buy a different input shaft/yoke for the SS transfer case. Check around SilveradoSS.com for a link. Also a 5700lb truck running 11.20's on a stock transfer case so it should hold for you.

Actually the link you want is right over there >>>>>>>>>>>>

Speed engineering manufactures the kit.

Matt is correct, the NVG149 will NOT bolt right up to the 4L80E. I ran the stock transfer case for my 600 awhp dyno runs, but am switching to 2WD as we speak. It all depends on how much you are turning up the wick. If you need the NVG 149, send me a PM, as I have one available (also have the front diff, hubs, shafts and drive shafts from the SSS).

are you planning a similar swap too? I honestly have no idea how easily it can be done... just curious what all you guys' plans are.
