Spent hours last night trying to research the 8.1L. It is very hard to find anything. We definetly need a sub catagory for it and I agree the duramax section is pretty dead. Great place to add it to, plenty of room there.

BTW, why did GM make the motor so unconventional?? I wanted to do an 8.1 with the 6 speed ally swap into my 99 2 DR 'hoe. I thought with a little heads/cam action I'd have an easy 500 hp/550 tq (engine) and one fast little monkey. Still possible just harder than I thought it would be.
