I can not ******* stand my GF's father. He lives in Colorado and my GF lives in fort worth, so she does not get to see him that often. Which really upsets her... Her father is a retired doctor and he is loaded and basically all he does is travel and **** off all the time now. He has only visited my GF in Texas twice in 10 years, which IMO is ridiculus, cause every chance she goes up and visits him at least which is 3-4 times a year, this last weekend is the 3rd time he has come to texas.... Anyways this bastard has been talking about buying a winter home ever since I have been dating my GF which is roughly 2+ years. He toyed with the idea of Florida, then a fishing village in Chile, then a condo in Mexico, he kept saying so that he can spend more time with my GF and her sisiter, I was like WTF she would still have to fly to see his ***.... So this last weekend we spent all day on Sunday out at Possum Kingdom lake looking at some lake property, getting my GF's hopes up that her father would only be a 1 hour drive away, she was so excited. So we get back later on that night and he tells her and her sister that it is not a wise investment. And then shortly afterward he tells her that he might not be able to meet her for christmas in Mexico, which was his ******* idea.... So my GF came over and cried for hours like usual after seeing her father. I was so pissed cause I knew the whole time we were at PK he had no intentions of buying anything, he justed wanted to show off that he could.... He did however manage to cut a couple of checks to my GF and her sister while he was down here..... I hate this ****, everytime they get together I end up picking up the pieces of my GFs broken heart for weeks.... OH and a few weeks ago my GF was admited to the ER and the doctors feared she had a brain bleed or a tumor, so I call her father and naturally he is traveling with no cell phone and he did not get the message for 5 days, luckily everything was OK with my GF. My father and mother were at the Hospital 15min after I arrived and did not leave until we left with my GF. Her father is on the verge of not being allowed in my house, if he keeps this **** up!!!!

Anyone else have problems with there GF's/Wifes parents???

 

It's really too bad for him, I can't imagine not wanting to see my kid.

 

i hate her whole effing family just about. maybe her older sister and her husband bout the only ones i can stand. Does that count?

 

Yep, she is one of the sweetest girls I have ever met, my parents absolutely adore her and would do anything for her, but her own damn father won't do ****... I told all this to my father this morning and he reacted just like me, he was pissed!!! I was brought with the 3 main values,

1. Don't **** with my Girlfriend/Wife!!!
2. Don't **** with my Family!!!
3. Don't **** with my Cars!!!

In that order..

You can **** with me all you want but if you **** with the above mentioned then that is one of few situations I will lose my temper and I am ready to BOX!

 

i know how you feel man, my dad does the same to me.....but that doesnt bother me as much as her dad who fucked my fiance up for life!!! and she told me she wants him at the wedding, i told her dont expect me to be nice to the *******! im there with you man! IT SUCKS........my list is wife/family/friends/car in that order, i cant leave my close friends out of the list

 

I would get in her father's face and call him out on his being an absent father and a worthless POS. At least he'll know that she's with a man that will take care of her regardless of who he's up against, he might actually give two ***** if he know's what kinda harm he's causing to his daughter.

I came pretty close on our vacation in Colorado. But I kept my cool, I try to stay out of it as much as I can, basically I don't talk to him at all. We are planning on getting engaged soon, so I am all read preparing myself for the eventual Pre-Nup battle that I am sure her father will push. Honestly I was waiting all weekend for a moment alone so I could speak my piece, but my GF would never leave us alone for more that a second, she knows I don't like him....
