Bad time to Buy a New 06' Truck?

Well, they are still making the 07 Classic Silverado which is just like the 06's, but the rebates aren't as good, and I'm sure they'd be willing to deal more on the 06's. Then there's the new silverados, which I'm still not convinced on as far as looks.
Like Goshawk, I'd hate to buy a first year model, because it will take them at least a year to work out all the bugs and like with the current silverado's, they upped the power ante every year just about. So improvements develope with time.

I would buy the '06. I bought mine last year when the '06 trucks were being delivered. My truck stickered for $34,900 and I paid $25,600. The money you save by buying the earlier model justifies loosing a model year when you go to sale it IMO.
