somtimes that pin can be a bitch. A drill press comes in handy. Use brake cleaner as a temporary solution to ensure pin is clean and 'floats'. Slamfire can occur if the firing pin gets sticky.

the firing pin moves freely in the bolt...i did make sure of that before getting ready to shoot. thanks again for all the info.

140 for 1k rounds of 223 is ****** good. The best I found before I went out last weekend was at Cabela's and it was somethin like 500 rds for about 120. That Iraq stuff is killin. I have a Mosin-Nagant personally and I go to this arms shop up north scottsdale and they have 10 packs for 3 dollars and 300 rd box for 75. So 7.62x54 can be cheap if u look. But thats the only place I've found with it besides special ordered to an arms dealer from Remington.
