150 IN A NEON FEELS ALOT DIFFERENT THEN ON A BIKE.... IVE HIT AROUND 175-180 ON A 2003 R1...

NOW THAT IS CRAZY CAUSE IT FEELS THAT FAST BECAUSE THE WIND GETS UNDER YOU AND TRIES TO RIP YOU OFF THE BIKE.... UNLESS YOUR TUCKED ON THAT TANK PERFECTLY.... AND IM 6'5" SO I CANT TUCK VERY WELL


BTW BEING 6'5" MEANS THE BOLSTERS IN THE SRT4 HURT!!!!!

LAST TIME HE TEST DROVE SOMETHING I MODDED HE BLEW IT UP WITHIN 30 MINUTES...

GO FIGURE A BRAND NEW ENGINE SHOULDNT BE HELD AT REDLINE FOR A CLUTCH DROP LAUNCH... (MORON)

 

IVE RIDDEN IN A TURBO COBRA THAT WOULD TRY TO PUSH YOU THROUGH THE BACK OF TEH SEAT.... BUT IT WAS A SMOOTH ENOUGH RIDE TAHT AT OVER 140 IT WAS SMOOTH AS HELL.... WELL PRETTY MUCH... STILL COULD FEEL THE ROAD.... BUT DIDNT FEELL LIKE IT WAS ON TEH EDGE OR ANYTHING...

GOTTA GIVE TAHT TO FORD.... THE COBRA SUSPENSION IS PRETTY DAMN GOOD....

OH.... WAIT....... HAHA IT WAS COILOVERS........

Anyone know how much you can get before you blow the tops on these neons?? so far no noises or anything.... and as you can see it is moving pretty well

EDIT: new suspension will be delivered tomorrow. coilover reservoir setup designed for srt4 if it works like i think... i will knock the ride height down to cut the air from under the car, and hopefully get it to 180 without a roblem...

I love going fast.... first time over 100 i was about 5 months old... in my dads nova... he took me down the 1320 in a car seat.....

he told my mom he did it cause it would mean when i got older i wouldnt be scared of it.... I have to agree with the old man.... and i plan on doing the same when i eventually have kids....


Speed is an addiction... when you get goin.... you just wanna go faster every time....

Ive found myself obsessing and spending thousands of dollars to get another 5 mph....

the worst accident i ever had was back when imports were first becoming popular.... and there wasnt alot available...

so we made most of teh stuff.

We built a 95 civic hatch with a lift off frontend. It was about 12:44 in the evening..... and i had my crew chasing me in a few cars, and a truck/trailer in case we broke down....

but teh races were saturday and it was friday night... We decided to take a test run..... So we went to the straightest, flattest lane we knew.... We had run many cars on this road...

any southern californians or long beach people know.... Imperial highway....

Well we pulled up in aq used car lot and unloaded the and got all the chase vehicles ready...

i pedaled it so i wouldnt annihilate the tires.... 1st is almost useless, second is obscenely short as usual... get to 3rd... this is the power gear... where you get most of your grunt.. boost climbs... I hit about 1.5 bar... nail it into 4th... feel a little wobble... but decide to push it more (hey im on the street... not exactly ideal traction situation) so i push it into 5th... Pick up a little more wobble and almost a loose feeling in the front..

right then the front tire delaminates completely and explodes.. The passenger side rim dug in and the car went end over end a few times im not 100 % sure how many times, because i blacked out during the second roll

and none of my chase crew was anywhere near me... i ended up in the parking lot of golf n stuff. They took me to the hospital i had a cuncussion but that was it...

The cage and harness saved my life... the next 2 weeks or so i had 4 inch wide bruises in the shape of the racing harness...

the police estimated my speed to be in excess of 130 mph.

Got charged 5000 for road repairs where teh cage dug ionto the asphault....

2000 for hazmat cleanup..

and another 7000 for driving the vehicle in the first place.... luckily i was 16 so i didnt have my license yet

 

Update!!!! Suspension Just Showed Up And Damn Is It Pretty..... Its Almost Too Pretty To Install... Bushings I Think Are There Too..... My Ole Lady Took Em Outta The Box And Sent Me A Pic With Camera Phone....
