Default dfw custom tune?

is there anyone around dfw that can tune for my new 6.0? i went somewhere earlier and they said they couldnt flash over the tune i already have?

I believe it is because your tune is locked from your previous tuner... I believe you have to do a full rewrite.

thats what it is. so how can i do a rewrite or who can do that?

Anyone can do a full rewrite, you basically just flash in a stock tune.... But it has to be a full write not a calibration only...

thats what i thought but they said sense it was locked he needed a tech 2 to put a stock tune in there?

Naw he just needs to download a stock tune for your truck (matching OS)and load it up, like I said a full write... I can do a full write on my truck back to stock, as a matter of fact I have done it a couple of times when I switched back and forth between custom OSes...

yea i got a good engine in there but its got the 2 lean codes and random misfire so i was wanting to get it re tuned but i just talked to trt in arlington and they said they cant rewrite it and they cant get a stock tune? he tried to put another tune in there but it wouldnt let him. is there a place to download a 6.0 stock tune that you know of. i dont know why these guys are having such a problem?
