Unhappy Drag Car Impounded

Like the title says. Most of you who know me.... know about my tube chassis mustang drag car....

Well i pulled it outta storage to make a in car video of a run I promised a certain member in here (damn you beau ) Well i pulled it outta the shop after being stored for a few months..... when i started it.... it sounded like it had a small tick almost like our lsx tick that most of us had heard.... so i figured a sticky lifter.... so i went ahead and decided to fix it with a high rpm pass outside the shop.

welll the local police thought that to be a bad idea. I got popped just hitting 4th which means i was well in excess of 100 mph. luckily the cop had just pulled up on a side street so he didnt get me for a exact speed.... just for multiple (i do mean multiple counts) it took him 7 seperate tickets to get me for every count. each ticket can hold only 4 or 5 violations written in

here are the ones i rememebr off the top of my head

- driving without insurance (its a racecar... no street insurance)
- no front license plate
- modified emissions system
- operating a off highway vehicle on public highway
- exhibition of speed
- enciting a speed contest (???)
- no displayed identification
- no functioning forward lamps
- no functioning wipers
- no functioning tail/brake lamps
- no functioning marker lamps
- no functioning license plate lamp
- no rear license plate
- reckless endangerment
- disturbing the peace
- removal of catalyst device
- removal of exhause noise reduction device (no muffler i guess?)

i know theres about 30 or so violations.....

now the car is impounded and the confiscated the in car video, and my camera...

**** dude! That sucks hardcore!!! Sorry to hear it, are you going to be able to get it back??

And which of those violations warrant impounding the car? I usually only hear about that when the driver goes to jail.

I talked to teh guy at the impound he said they dont want my damn car and i may be able to get it in a week... but ill still have to pay the 30 day storage....

still just worried what will happen to it in taht time...

I cant even imagine what that tickets gonna cost...

I already talked to an attourney... itll cost $15,000 - $25,000 but he should be able to get all of it thrown out

Good news about the car, but a week is still a long time.

And about the ticket/attorney cost. Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

If you get a decent attorney he'll probably get most of those tickets thrown out.
