I had my pacesetters ory and a small (4x9x11) Magnaflow. It was LOUD. I added the bullet, and it was loud, but tollerable. Now I have a stock cat back, and it sounds.......stock

on my z71 I used to have no cats and flowmaster, and it droned alot.... so I put a stock muffler in there.. and it is super quiet now in the exemption of at certain rpm it sounds kind of funny? Im thinking about putting a 24"case from magnaflow... I pretty sure that will take care of the unwanted funny resonance or sound that it has at that certain rpm...

If nobody has mentioned it before carry that **** out the back or out the side but as far back as possible and don't dump it...it'll seem like you put a stocker back on. The reason it's loud is because it's resonating off the ground under the truck. To prove it find the nearest bridge w/ grateing (sp.) on it and take a drive over it. I had one on the way to work that I would pass over and when I got to the grate at the top center of the bridge it seemed like someone turned the truck off. That's when I carried it out the back...and was ALOT QUIETER...

With the longtubes, ory, into a 24 Hooker Aerochamber my truck sounded mean with a real good sound to it. But it was too loud in the cab, especially with a baby on the way. If I was a single man, I would still be running that setup. Last weekend I put my stock muffler(modified a little) back on and it is soooo much quieter in the cab. Unfortunetly, it dosnt have much of a performance sound to it, kinda turbo mufflerish. The price was right though, just a spool of welding wire.

well when I got my mufflers I was looking for the quietest straight through mufflers and after reading about stuff for 2 weeks straight I found out dynomax was the quietest so I got two of those and did a true dual with xpipe and all the way out dumping them makes it louder too like they've said above. So I would say
ulta flo weld performance 17235 3 in 3 out
17236 2 1/2 in 2 1/2 out both have a body 24 in long or 29 from pipe to pipe
I would say least amount of noise with lest amount of restriction.
that's just me though I like sleepers.
