I don't know what I'm going to do about a different set of rims and tires for the rear. I found a set of new aluminum American racing rims that are pretty cheap and will work with my rear drums. They are a 16X8 wheel. Then I'll just strap a Hoosier or M/T slick on it. Not a problem.
Here's the problem. I want to replace my rear drums with Baer brakes rear disc conversion kit. The 16" wheels will then no longer fit. I can only use an 18"-20"+ rim in that case.
Possible solution.......I don't know. I really don't think M/T or Hoosier makes a slick or DOT street that's for an 18" wheel.
Any suggestions???

It runs and shifts stronger than previous tune. Though it made it even a little harder to get off the line than our first meet.
I really just need a better set of smaller sticky tires for the rear.
I also asked for a bit more timing, but he said NO WAY! He said I already have 2* more timing than most of any other NA VHO or SS truck out there.
He was surprised that it doesn't detonate at really high RPM's. Though he thinks the Volant ram air is helping out a bit, keeping the intake air cooler than others without ram air.
He did mine as a street tune initially.
Don't know what it is set to though.
I do get a little detonation at high rpm's from time to time, but it usually doesn't do it unless the K&N filter is close to needing cleaned. Which seems to be very often. I'm guessing cause of the Volant ram air. It has it's pros and cons.
