Default How to make your 14 sec truck run mid 12's

a 150 shot

14.10 @100 on motor, 12.52 @111 on the gas.

My truck is slow. It is hard to remove ~200 hp and have fun.

Saw some of u guys out there nice to meet u. Thats a cool 6 speed swap thought about doing one myself. Only could get a 13.4@100 on motor, but on a 100 shot it went 12.31@111.82 7.94@89 in the 1/8 with a SHITTY 1.88 60ft. Gotta go back to the drawing board to get this thing to hook i should be seeing LOW 1.70's at least.

2.24 60' on motor and 1.93 on nitrous. It is a dog out of the hole. Put it this way, it went 14.30's on the 20's (31.5" tall) and a 14.10 on the slicks (29"). The car tranny gearing and 4500lbs isn't a good combination. I may get some 26" slicks to help it out. My 1st gear is a 2.66 now and the old 5 speed was 3.82. Launching at 4k is all bog on slicks without the nitrous and on the radials it is launch at 3500 and bog or 4000 and blow the tires off. The 90mm TB will help i'm sure but not the launch. Also, I never power shifted it either since I was 3 hrs from home with no trailer, but that would give me another 2 tens better or so.
I plan on trying a car intake after I dyno with the high rise. We will see if it helps the low end enough to make it worth keeping. I will definately be going with a different cam which is undecided yet. Can't do much with the high compression I have and keep a streetable cam though. I'm going to have to tighten up the LSA and go with a little more duration. But that will hurt mileage and make it a bucking bull in the parking lots I may confide in some of the big dog companies for help with a cam, or ones that have had success with the L92's. I will be swaping parts and dynoing all summer till I get what I like. Should learn a lot for myself and others in the process.
