Got one located in the North Shore (east Houston area). Good luck with the dealership.

who cares if the dealer would warranty it...why would you want another stock tranny?? Do you enjoy swapping torque converters?

One word....FREE! I say a good tranny is a free one. The last one lasted him like 27k so why the hell not another 20k or so out of a free tranny.

The dealership would have to prove the aftermarket parts on the truck are the cause of the transmission failure under the Magnusson Moss act to deny him his warranty. Usually just depends on the dealership on how hard they want to make it. When I had my heads/cammed/full bolt-on mustang Carmax never asked a question when I had it in for warranty work (one new engine and one new transmission). However, when I had my Cobalt a particular Chevy dealership would bark at everything I did from my cold air intake to my short throw shifter....until I mentioned the Magnusson Moss Act. Just be sure not to take the truck in with timeslips all over the place, drag numbers on the windows and slicks mounted on the back (or excess rubber all over your fenders).
