yep, when i got to texas last year me and the gf were looking at suv's and we saw a z71 hoe and it was priced cheap with low miles, i said heck yeah then walked over to the drivers side and

no 4wd, crawled up and under it and no transfercase. sure enough i think in 05 they started making z71 in 2wd.
