i wanna finish up with my goals for the truck first before i buy anything else... then i can park it in a shop and stack stuff on it and start on a new project...

Dang man. Sorry to hear that. It had a lot of spunk this past wkend.
Is ur 408 a 6.0 or 6.2 block? 6.0 with the rear sump pan is known for lack of oil pressure. That's what happened to my 6.0. Spun #5 and broke #6 connecting rod.

It's a 6.0 block. I'm thinking thrust loading from locking the converter under full load, but wont know for sure until I have it apart...... good news is if I keep the same pulley on my 5.3 ill be making like 14lbs of boost
