Reputable tuners near Ms?
#11
just checked an email from this morning, TDC in Mobile told me that they would end up using HPTuners on my truck, so yea I guess I would prefer to do it myself, and they mentioned a $100 charge to get GM credits for it, guessing this is a HPTuners charge, either way I will nitpick it all i'm sure.

Sounds like TDC does not have a shop license for HPT and are passing the credit charges (most gm vehicles need 2 credits @$50/credit on a standard cable) back to the customer. How much are they charging for the actual tune on top of the credit charge? FYI, XXX also uses HPT for GM tuning.

I looked up how the "credit" system worked after I posted, makes a lot more sense now. They told me $375 for tuning/dyno time. Those guys usually tune imports and they have a civic that runs a 10.0@149 that they run and a lexus sc300 that runs high 9's I think (these are shop cars), but that doesn't necessarily mean that they know there way around the GM's. I'm just worried that if I bring it to someone who is not very familiar with these engines that they may spend too much time figuring it out and as a result, costing me more.
