Default Tranny question for the southerners

1. what is the normal temperature reading for the tranny?
2. i have a stock tranny cooler on my truck, if i get a bigger one will it really help it or will it be almost the same as the stock.

i got a tru-cool 2800gvw cooler and i sit around 160 cruising and its gotten up to 200 beating on it, but comes back down once i chill on the gass.

my stock one is running about 185 but i dont know the size of it

Where can i get a bigger one in the houston area and how much does it cost?

Mine sits at 110 while on the HWY but around 180 sitting in traffic. I have a PI 10.5" converter and a tru cool 40,000GVW cooler.

mine tends to stay consistant with the engine temp, I think the thermostat you are using has as much effect as the size cooler, considering the primary cooling happens in the radiator with your coolant

Sorry man, wrong place to ask this question. We usually check out the temp after the trans blows.
