I hate to say it, but the cops are normally worthless when it comes to stolen vehicles. When my brother's truck was stolen the police never even called him back after he reported it.
Hopefully somebody you know will see the truck or see some parts from it, that's your best bet.

I've always been nervous about mine since it is kind of a stand out. I'm going to take a few precautions as well I think. That just sucks. All the hard work and investments are one thing but knowing the insurance company will just give you the value of a regular truck is what really sucks.
My JGP edition isn't linked to the VIN in any way that i'm aware of.

the insurance adjuster will try and low ball you. DO NOT take the 1st offer. i got 50% more than my initial offer from the ins. co. when my mustang (17k in parts alone) was stolen.
just hold out, they will eventually offer more

If you want the truck back you will have to do the foot work yourself. Don't expect a detective to investigate the case because you don't have any leads for them. The best that you can hope for is that the plate number is randomly run one day and they recover it. I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm just being brutally honest. The police just have much bigger fish to fry.

Even if they do find it, you may not want it back. My wifes civic was stolen and recovered about four hours later. What I was left with was a pile of crap. Floorboard had about two inches of soda and cigarette ashes, seats burned and covered in ash and weed, rims curb checked with scratches and dents, motor smoking, basically trashed.I wished they wouldn't have found it to be honest.
