Default What oil 10w30 or 10w40 for my high mileage DD/beater???

I was just wondering what oil yall would recommend for my beater.. It is a 1995 Geo Prizm with 160k on it. The car runs great and gets good MPG, but since the motor has alot of miles on it and questionable mainteance done it on over the years. When I got it I changed the oil to 10w30 and it now has about 1000miles on it and it is still clean, but with the hot texas days coming I was thinking about moving up to 10w40... Any suggestions...

20W50 is for the 4cyls out there, remember the first number is the start up thickness and the second number is running thickness.

I would run the 10w30 or 10w40, and change all fluids and belts. Check the plugs. Then just take care of it. Maybe even a little octane booster every now and then to make her feel loved.
