They told me swapping a muffler voids the power train warranty because it reduces back pressure

just bought my 2008 ext cab silverado a few weeks ago. Went to a Nissan dealership looked at a 2007 silverado. told the saleman i wanted a ext cab 2 wheel drive he said well i dont know why you would want a 2 wheel drive when the 4 wheel drive has a smoother ride. I looked at him and said yeah keep yourtruck buddy.

Went to the dodge dealership right down the street. found the truck i wanted right away. 09 silverado. Salesman walked up to me and said i see your interested in this truck how about a test drive. i said hell with it why not. Took it down the street noticed a rattle under it. He said i dont hear anything. so i put his window down and he said oh yeah i hear the exhaust. (stock) i said no theres a rattle like something loose.told him ill just look at another truck. Went back to the dealership and left in my own truck. called a buddy that works at a tech there he said yeah that truck was totaled and they shouldnt even have it on the lot. why do you think im started at the chevy dealership next week. Told me to go to the chevy dealership and ask for Ronnie the short guy. told him what i wanted and within a couple hours finally had an 08 silverado sitting in my drive way.

The next day i took it to the dodge dealership for my buddies lunch to have him look at it. the salesman asked i seen you bought our truck last night. I said **** no i didnt went to the chevy dealership this one wasnt totaled a few weeks ago. His jaw dropped.

My window button on the drives door broken
Had to buy a new button. Went to the dealer ship and they said I had to buy the entire assembly since its made in one. Not individually. They said if I buy used from a salvage yard, I would have to bring it back andhave it pprogrammed to my truck or it wouldn't work. Bought a scrapyard assembly, plugged in, works fine..they were just trying to get that $80 for 1 hour shop rate out of me.

actually a lot of late model trucks need the switches programmed. Then again sometimes you get lucky with salvage parts.

I'm starting to think I was wrong. Everything works after hooking it up, but for some reason my cargo light indicator light on the dash won't turn off. Lol
