My personal favorites are:
5. you can put a corvette Servo in Your trans??(a tech asked me that one time)
4. @148000 they wanted my warranty info when all i went in to do is to buy intake gaskets.
3. I went in one time to look at an SS Silvy and the salseman proceeded to tell me that they can get one in a rcsb for $1000.00 more
2. A service Tech told me that a LS6 camshaft wouldn't fit in my engine.
and my personal favorite:
1. A tech told me that the 6.0 that i wanted to install in my Truck would slow me down. The 4.8 with no mods is Faster and i will drop to 19's in the 1/4 mile

from jesse bubb ...."the oil from your air filter is messing up the readings of the MAF sensor, thats why you are not running as strong, the pcm is much smarter now" thats what he said when i told him my stock pcm got a better ET than his wait4me tune.

When i was trying to find my truck i had a dealer try to talk me into getting a 4.8 cause they had it on the lot.I ended up waiting till they found a 5.3 like i wanted but his arguement was that the 4.8 would get better gas mileage even though it's an extended cab heavy *** truck and that the 4.8 only makes 5 less horsepower.
I told him yeah it might make 5 less horsepower but the torque is a decent bit lower and the power under the curve is alot lower than a 5.3
His response son 5 horsepower is 5 horsepower if it were me i'd just get the smaller motor and get better gas mileage cause if ya plan on doin stuff to it your gonna void your warrenty. So why not get the better engine since you have 35,000 miles that you can't touch the truck.
I laughed said no thanks. They found me one the next day.
I started to mod it the second day i had it lol.

That the Corvette Servo wouldnt fit in my trans.... i just laughed and asked how much it was... after i explained what it was and i had to find it in the drawings on the computer..

this aint a dealership,, it was a guy at the local short drag. His hypertech would put out more power in his F-150 and beat me, than "that Laptop stuff" you have in your truck. yea and he was only running .8 sec slower than me.... at 580' i had a 8.2sec to his 9 flat... yea thats one bad hypertech aint it? he left after that race.

yeah, i know it would but my stock pcm was running better than his pcm. so there was no oil from my filter on the MAFsensor.
