Guys, remember what date that you ordered on and that there was a holiday that falls on a business day in that period. Also, sometimes things do happen that are beyond your controll that pushes production times back from time to time. Frank and crew are good people, have always gone the extra 100 miles for me and many many others on this forum multiple times.....
I know that you contacted him, but did you tell him that you were worried about the delivery time before you posted here?

I know a guy who just bought a Level 3 PB 4l80e and was told 7-10 BUISNESS days till it would ship. He was told he would get a email when it shipped. This too was over the memorial day weekend. He never got a email, but he did get a transmission on business day #11 . This same guy sent a Circle D converter in for a cut and flush the same day the PB trans was ordered and still hasn't gotten it back

I'd be pissed if a vendor told me my stuff was shipping out, and then not tell me later that it didn't ship out...
I think he has a right to be pissed. If they would've told him it would be X amount of days in the first place, I'm sure he'd be fine with it, but being told you have to keep waiting over and over again sucks. Don't promise things you can't deliver.

I have to agree with the op.. I would be a bit unhappy also..I am in not in anyway bashing P built, I run one of there trans, the customer service is some of the best ever. Frank is always there to answer ??. I would be unhappy, but dunno if I would have posted up just yet.. Things do happen, in esp in a business where you are at the demand of the the customer.. I am sure in the end, the result will be a happy customer.. Sorry for your luck with them, but bottom line is **** happens, they are and make a great product..

I've had the same problem.. I ordered mine on the thursday or friday before memorial day and they took the money out of my account the following monday.. I just got a shipping notification today. He said I would recive it in 7-10 business days not be shipped out in 3 11 business days. I called and talked to him multiple times and he said that they were behind a few days and I understand that with anybusiness. I hope it will be well worth the wait. The only thing that gets me is most reputable companies don't take the money till the item has been shipped.. But they took almost 3grand out of my account a couple of weeks before they ever shipped my product.
i have disagree with that!!! it doesnt matter what company or how well known they are, they'll either want half up front or the whole purchase price with shipping BEFORE THEY SHIP... product has to be paid for in FULL before they ship.
the only company i have delt with that shipped out before payment is RONS MACHINE only cause i have delt with him, i recieved my new gears and locker wednesday, he withdrew payment thursday just as we agreed

ive had good success with frank. ive caled him at 9:00 at night and the guy still answered his darn phone!..... i sent mine back for a rebuild . took a week to ship . a week to rebuild and a week to ship back. thats fine with me . i was not bitching . as long as it got done in a normal working mans time.... gotta get that strait. you ever get a swamped day at work?... its hard to get everything you need done. maybe half of it wasnt on frank. maybe it was on the other guy he was trying to get you a bellhousing /other specific part from? blah blah..

...Look at it this way most likley he got alot on his plate maybe too much for one guy idk.One thing i do know is he puts together a quality trans, and quality is somthin that cant be rushed. It is hard to have a successful business that can accurately forecast production when supply and demand changes so drastically.I would venture to guess he has his hand in damn near every aspect of the company which is great but, somthins prolly gonna suffer from time to time.
Well put, Sincal.
Quality can't be rushed, so it kinda has to be accepted. It stinks on a DD tho.
On June 8th woulda been 10 bus. days. I'm not defending nor flaming. But I do find it odd when someone says it'll ship next day, but no bellhsg. And to say email me on date, when you're on phone at that time. Seems odd, but if I'm understanding this incorrectly, my bad.
Like Scott, I'd be pissed if a vendor told me my stuff was shipping out, and then not tell me later that it didn't ship out... Don't promise things you can't deliver. If u over-deliver, that's a + in customer service, but the other way round never works out well, esp. in customers' eyes.
marlboroman, raises a good point, did you tell him that you were worried about the delivery time before you posted here?

Frank did not know this trans was for my DD, I didn't express a rush in delivery. I just went with what I was told. I understand getting backed up or getting busy. But, I too work in the automotive field and I need to stick to the deadlines that I give for any certain build.
