Default Speed Engineering problems

On the Silverado Pacesetter headers they have 99-08 4wd-2wd. which is false, they do not make headers for the 07 4wd's yet. They try to trick people out of their money that is why they can sell for so cheap. If you buy from them it is a big mistake, getting your money back is hell.

i got my cam from them on an ebay auction and it said any off the shelf comp cam or custom grind. i bought it asked for my cam to be ground on a 112 lsa they sent me the off the shelf on a 115. when i sent them an email they gave me some b.s excuse about how when they grind them they can be off like .050. im a machinist and have never seen a tolerence like that on something that would make such a difference on the way that the cam performs. in my shop that would be a paper weight! since it took me 2 months to get it in the first place i didnt want to send it back and deal with getting a new one so i just installed it anyway. just my two cents.

I would've waited. Theres no sense in using something you didn't want, especially if its as involved as changing a cam

damn, sorry for the 2 of you above. I'd just say in the future go with TSP for your needs! I've yet to see any company more involved than them on the forums, and I've experienced great CS from them.

Default Speed Engineering is terrible!

Speed Engineering states that the Pacesetter Headers for silverado fit 99-08 4wd/2wd. That is so incorrect, in fact they only fit 99-04 4wds. They cheat people out of their money and dont have any respect for customers. Getting your money back is hell, especially when it is because of false info on a website. bottom line speed engineering is just to stupid to do business right.

That may be true. But did you do your own research before hand to make sure that they would fit your truck? Did you ask other people/dealers other than relying one alone? I don't mean to take a wee wee in your cereal but that would have saved time and bs. I am glad you got the cash back though.

i have never had problems with speed engineering. always great customer service. the refund may have been a pain in the *** because the headers could have been shipped factory direct.

there are many posts saying they only fit the gmt900 2wds and not the 4wds.
