Default Thinkin bout a srt 10

So right now I have a '04 Z71 5.3l that is GUTLESS!!!!!!!!! I was thinking about buying a Srt10. I've always liked them but am curious about the towing. I have heard that you can tow with the Crew Cab, but not the reg cab. But, I've also heard that if you put a tranny cooler on the Reg Cab you can tow with it. Now what I'm talking about towing is a Yamaha Rhino on a 18ft flatbed. So nothing real big. Any input on this would be great. Thanks

It would be cheaper to do a 6.0 swap and cam and then throw on a supercharger on your current truck, and youll be making more power.

+1 I drove a 6spd and it felt like a bitch even dropping the clutch. Not worth it and they're big and fugly. Do work! You'll be a **** ton happier doing your own work trust me

Granted you could drop tons of cash into your 5.3 or do a swap and make some serious power BUT Eh, I'd go for the SRT. Big wheels, Big brakes, Big motor, Big HP, 6 speed, pretty sick interior, I'm sold. And, you see worked up Chevys all over the place, how often do you see a SRT. I dont see them ever, maybe during the nice weather once or twice.
I dont think you'd have a hard time towing either.

Toss a shift kit and a tranny cooler along with a tune and I think youd love your truck for towing

Bolt on a Maggie and let 'er rip!!! You can pick up a used M112 for a song nowadays and the 5.3L IMO is the best motor for the 112....get a 3.0 pulley on there instead of the stock 3.3 and HANG THE F#$% ON!!!
