I average 15 mpg, in town with me driving I get about 8 mpg, but I'm staying in second and third gear running 35-45mph. On the highway running 55-60, I get around 20-21 mpg. On the interstate running 75-80 I get 17-18mpg. As long as you are good in these trucks they get OK milage, but when you play you pay!!! And no one should buy on of these if the are concerned with fuel milage, and every time you change the oil it's gonna cost you $100 min. If you do it your self!!!

They hold close to11 qts of mobil 1 full sinthetic, or what ever you like, and if you go with mother mopars viper filter they aren't cheap either, but you can get a regular filter at any auto parts store for a few bucks.
I've had several daily driver hotrods, dodge chevy and ford, and this is buy far my favorit, and most exspecive!!!

15-20 mpg isnt bad at all.
I agree, you dont buy one of these for the mpgs. But, it can be a realiable means of transportation by all means. And 15-20mpgs (if you stay off it, lol) is pretty damn good for such a high hp truck.
I've also seen some pretty low trucks towing and going in places not meant for low pro tires or high dollar wheels. As long as he's easy, he should be fine.
I want one, hopefully in the near future.

This is like asking vette owners which trailer hitch to use. IF you want an srt 10 you dont want it for its towing capacity. You should be able to buy a RC truck which comes with a manual trans only for 20 - 25 thousand. Now the quad cab which comes with an automatic only i wouldnt want any how. Heavy long truck with a good motor but weighs in at what 7500 pounds. They put a diesel trans behind the viper motor and the automatics still dont last. Just my 2 cents worth

I remember seeing in a past issue of HR, CC or PHR (one of those mags), it was about either Auto X or going to the Strip. They showed different cars enroute, one was a Vette with a trailer. It was trailering his wheels/tires. I've seen it a couple of times with different cars not just Vettes.

Not even close. Mine weighs in at 5350. With just a tune a QC will take a RC. The RC has the advantage but they are hard to shift. A QC is easier to launch and with a tune is a low 13 or high 12 second truck on street tires.
The SRT-10 is not the best towing option. Don't want to take it off road either.

Thanks guys for all your input. But I had an unexpected deal fall into my lap the other day. So now I own a 2002 C/C 2500hd 4x4 with a Duramax. Talk about a flip from a SRT-10, lol. But it was too good a deal to pass by. Thanks again. Maybe before too long I can just get one for a toy, lol.
