Is $1000 too much for gauges?
I just finished ordering my gauges for the truck and the total came out to $1000, I was wondering if that was too much to spend on gauges. Personally I think that's pretty steep. The set consists of Autometer cobalt electric boost/vac, electric fuel pressure, wideband o2, and an Aeroforce scan gauge. I was wondering if it's normal and if you don't mind sharing what your gauge setup ran.

, i paid like 300 for my phantom 2 boost/fuel pressure gauge's from a buddy, and 220 for the interceptor also from a buddy. plus 25 for single pillar pod, and 1 something for the so cal diesel dual overhead mount.
i think your price sounds about right though. sometimes you wait and find some sweet deals on here or ebay.

The Cobalt Electric boost gauge is about $400 and the wideband a/f gauge is from $250-400 so what you paid souds right. The Cobalt mechanical gauge is alot cheaper though.
I have the Ultr-Lite series electric boost gauge, Pyrometer(EGT), a/f gauge, nitrous pressure gauge, plus a singe a pillage gauge pod and a three gauge pod below the stereo.

That triple gauge mount in the dash looks pretty nice, too bad they don't have one for gm's
I guess it's what these things cost, I remember swapping out all of the gauges on on the boat and it was only $250, and a set of autometer gauges for my buddy's camaro was $270.

It's all in what you buy. If you had bought the mechanical boost gauge you would have saved $300+ and another $300+ by going to a cheap narrowband a/f gauge etc. Also, the Cobalt series is one of the most expensive.

I paid $1050.00 for my 4 Autometer Nexus gauges and 3 hole A-pillar pod.
Still waiting on my Socal upper console 2-hole gauge pod. That was another $125.00.
Still waiting for the release of the Nexus Wideband gauge. Will also get the Nexus RPM gauge when the Wideband becomes available.
That will be quite a bit more $$$$. Then I will be gauged out....for now....

I'm just hoping they are worth it it's the most expensive addition on my truck so far over my turbo setup, headlight retrofit, lift kit, wheels and tires.
Has anyone ever used the 4 pod overhead mount in a truck with an overhead console?
