hey man, i just got one out of a denali/yukon do you think it will work the same i'm really thinking of going this route... what is NON LUX... and to get the VIN programed you have to go to the dealer or find some mechanic with one right? that looks really good there just right at home... and thanks for the great info

I run this same setup and wound up getting very ticked off with the safety police not even allowing me to resume the previous navigation destination while driving. The solution was to install a "Lawyer Override" switch in the four-pod housing to enable me to temporarily cut the VSS signal to the nav, thus enabling all menus. As far as I can tell these units rely on the VSS signal and a directional gyro as their primary input, using the GPS info to calibrate their position rather than track it. When you flip the switch, the unit thinks the vehicle is stopped. Flip it back and it will be lost for a few seconds until it recalibrates its position off the GPS. I've been running this switch for more than a year now with my nav with no ill effects.

But I'm having problems with connectivity of it to the radio due to having used wiretaps to connect it to the stock HU. I think what I'm going to do is buy the wiring harness from the USA-SPEC underseat and cut it up to solve the problem.
