Default which 8 inch subs??

Ok i have 4 re audio re s4 subs in a 3 cube ported box under the back seat of my ext cab wired to 1 ohm with 1200rms going to them. They have been taking the power for a bout a year now but I just killed one and im looking to get all new subs to replace them. The subs im looking at are as follows. jl w3s
mtx 5500, fosgate p2s,I am really wanting dd1508s but i think that is out of my budget. My max mounting depth is about 6 inches. Any suggestions? on this site about half way down there is a pic of my box http://teammmraudio.com/

the only ones you listed that would take that kind of power are the DDs

Default why 8s

The reason i did 4 8s was because it was the loudest thing i can get under my seat. everyone i know says that 8s suck and it has to sound like crap until they here them. Its pretty funny when you are louder than people with tens or twelves or even a single 15 that make fun of you having 8s. I think my box makes a big difference as well. my buddy has two 12 inch re audio se subs with the same amp that I have in the same truck and when he listened to mine he told me his 12s we now for sale lol

ya its more fun to have somethin small that is really loud. I was hoping someone had used the w3 8s they r rated for 300rms a piece and Im thinking they would be a good match for my us amp at 1200rms

Yeah having small speakers that will blow away a bigger speaker is always fun. I used to have two JL6w0's in a transmition line in the back of my ext cab gmc sonoma. It would pound like two solid 10's. People were blown away by it.

As far as what 8s to go with the w3's are nice and the DDs are good as well. But keep this in mind the small voice coils in 8" drivers can't handle high power for long amounts of time. I ended up popping one of my 6.5 for the same reason (but i only had 150watts going to it). have you considered going to either two bigger drivers that will take some abuse (say 2 JL 10w7s or 2 10" DD's or FI's) An 8 will only take that kind of abuse for so long.

All you guys talking about "tons of bass" from your 8"s must have sensitive ears or something.
