Default Alarm and remote start......which one?

So I'm really only looking for a remote start but, I'm sure most alarms come with that stuff now so why not both!

I used to be into this stuff more back in the day but, have been out of it for way too long to know what is good now. I had a nice Alpine infrared type alarm in an old truck, they still any good?

Talk to me people!

Clifford/Python/Viper are the best ones out... whatever you decide to go with though make sure its a DEI product.

I have the Viper 5901 as well, had it since last xmas. And I love it. It has a rechargeable battery, plugs into the wall and charges thru USB. Lasts about a month or 2 at a time.

Pretty much any of the DEI companies are good in my experience, which include Clifford and Viper...

Just go to walmart and be happy... The way I look at is if they want it they will take it and not worrie about a siren going off... But yes DEI is top notch if you are goiing to spend the money. I know a guy around me that has a shop around me if you want to
make the little day trip.

Yes this is true, trust me i know.. But the 2nd time they tried taking mine,(first time was with fatory alarm) they couldnt because of the failsafe starter kill. So all they got was my in-dash that time. And that was in a busy *** mall parking alot with sirens blaring. I now have sirens on the inside as well so whoever gets in there will not want to be in there long if at all..

Thanks for the responses guys, seems the Viper stuff is pretty good these days. Clifford was the **** back in the day when I was messing with car audio/electronics. The Alpine I had was nice because you could leave your windows down and if someone reached inside it would go off, it was some sorta infrared dealio.

I just got the Viper 5901 installed and I love it. Viper also has a proximity alarm. if anyone gets close it will set the alarm off. I think it was 130 or so + install.
