The hifonics of today are over rated, unless you mod the voltage rail.

They are still an excellent budget choice

 

Kicker has always worked like a champ for me, I had their older sx series 500.2 on some diamond components and they screamed.

 

Hifonics is a good budget choice. It is good you got one bigger than needed because like i said earlier i have seen several clamped do under their rated power. Good luck with the install and let us know how it sounds......

 

i always go with the older PPI amps !

2 in the 95 Z28, 2 in the 01 Xtreme blazer and 2 in my 05 Silverado.
