I usually buy Walmart Everlast batteries. They have 2 year free replacement, so every 2 years I would take the battery in and tell them it wouldn't hold a charge. They used to just take my word and replace it and i had another new battery and warranty. Last time I took one it, the store I took it to had a fancy electronic tester and did a big long test on it then spit out a report say the condition of the battery and whether or not it should be replace. It failed, but barely. Now I guess I will just have to kill them before I take them in,

'01 Ext Cab here, still on original battery, as well. It has turned into a "let's see how long it will go" thing now. Without getting into a "who has the best battry contest, let me just make a comment on Delco Batteries. They offer 2 styles, the -60, -50 series, and the 5-yr, 6-yr, 7-yr series. Best to stay away from the 5,6,7-yr series batteries, as they have a high failure rate. The 50,60 series batteries are very dependable and are a better value, as well. Just my experience, guys!!

I found myself a Delco professional series 7yr 800CCA battery yesterday for $90 exchanged after tax. I couldn't beat that. It's built MUCH BETTER than the 6 yr one that came in my truck originally and looks like it BELONGS there.
