Default anyone use Pioneer Chanpion subs?

Looking at upgrading my bass department in my Jeep. The RF R1s just arnt enough. Looking at 2 Pioneer Champion TS-W259S4 10" Sub. 1200W peak/ 350W rms 4ohm. And a BossNX1600.2 2ch amp to run them. 1600w max/400x2ch@4ohm rms. Going with a ported box. What do the experts think?

They should be better than your RF R1's. And that amp should be better than the ones you have currently. Have you ever thought about going to a larger sub?

well I listen to a lot of Rock and I've heard 10s are better for that. Maybe eventually I will get some 12s and see. the only other person I know with a sub has a 15 pushing 1500w rms so its hard to compare.

12s sound just as good on rock, as long as they're high quality speakers. I personally wouldn't have ordered Pioneer speakers.

Well, it was between those and a set of kenwoods. I refuse to run anything kicker. Im going more for sound quality than max bass. And they were within my price range. We will see how they do once they get here.

Its a myth that a speaker sounds better playing one type of music vs. another type. A quality speaker will reproduce every sound its asked to play and therefore all music should sound good coming out of a quality speaker. Me personally I would steer clear of anything Kicker as well. I personally do not care for their products at all. I haven't seen Kenwood subs in a while. There is probably a reason for that. They had some decent stuff when I was in High School but that was a while ago.

not really, they are cheaply made, too expensive, if your looking for nothing but bass then their ok, but as I mentioned before, I want sound quality.

Oh, BTW, Everything just arrived. Ordered around 2am on Thursday. Sonic electronic dot com FTW.
