I was wandering if anyone has connected their cargo light to the reverse lights. I want to do this but is there any issues I may run into. I know if they are connected, they will both come on when the button is pressed and when in reverse. I dont see any problems as of now, but any info would be appreciated.

You could use a diode to isolate them, but the question is why? If your overhead cab light comes on with the reverse light it will actually cut down your visibility when it's dark because it will light up the bed of your truck rather than the ground behind it, and you won't be able to see past it.

You could mount and wire some fog or flood lights under the bumper for more visibility if that's your intent. But if it were me I wouldn't try for the cargo light. Is there another reason you wanted to?
