my CD player is doing the same damn thing. most recently it had one of my brother's shitty rap CDs lodged in it. the CDs will randomly come out. i guess it's just a good excuse to go buy a new CD player.

My wife's 04 Tahoe did this under warranty. Got a new head unit and lost the CD. She handled it otherwise I would have made them pay for the CD. Oh well, wasn't my CD.

I would smash the mother f***er with a hammer! get the biggest one you can find, and the cd is just a cheap investment into the fun you're going to have! Smash away untill it is left in nothing but little pieces.

This is also a good thing to do when the wife is not around, as she might not let you buy a new deck when she see's you distroy the old one, which to her is probably still perfectly useful.

We see this a lot at the dealer. Disconnect the battery for a few minutes, hook it back up, and you should be able to get the CD out. The HU should work fine for a while too. You might want to think about replacing it, they have a bunch of little BS problems with them. A new factory HU is about twice the price of a decent aftermarket HU. When mine gives me any sh*t, im ditchin it for a Pioneer DVD/NAV unit that fills the hole in the dash like a factory unit would.
