It also seems that spec'ing out a box for this sub under the is not going to happen

I had my box built for my 10 behind the seat. I have not got it yet, but I am waiting. Ported boxed will hit hard with Hip Hop and rap, but when it comes to rock it wont hit as clean like a sealed box will. pro's and cons to everything really.

This box with the SD-2 10" is just about perfect.

01-06 GM HD Crew Cab Dual Downfire Box

The SD-2 requires .5 for airspace sealed. The box is .6 minus the .08 for displacement that's pretty damn close to me. I don't think you will get a closer box prefabbed.

Sean said 1.0 for ported iirc, and from what everyone is saying, this things needs to be ported

Not sure, just remembered he offered to make one for you. If the single one is .5 it shouldn't be that hard for a competent shop to make one with 1.0.
