Dynamat/ Cheaper alternative
Has anyone used the cheaper versions of dynamat like products? I've been browsing ebay and other misc sites and fatmat has been coming up a lot. Are the cheaper alternatives worth it?

Ive used RAAM mat on 2 of my last trucks, and it really is great stuff.
I gave Fatmat a shot after the price of RAAM mat went up a fair amount when they dropped the original bxt mat(which is still cheaper than Dynamat btw) and so far the Fatmat is doing all I need it to do as well, good bang for the buck.
Ive also also doubled up in the larger open areas, and tossed in a layer of the foil/bubblewrap insulation for extra measure, always been nice and quiet with the windows up now Also stays cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter...

I used B-Quiet Extream in the truck many years ago and have had good results. Single layered the doors and double layered the floor and back cab wall. I had just enough left over to do the floors from the fire wall to the back seat in the Tahoe when I got it. I just ordered 100sqft of Fatmat to finish the cargo area, doors and possibly roof for the next round of audio upgrades. Hopefully I will be getting to that in the next week or two.
