Default Electric cutout wiring.

I just got my DMH E-cutout in yesterday. Going to attempt to install it and wire it up this weekend. It seems like a fairly easy wiring setup, harness from the cutout motor to a switch, out from the switch there is a power wire that needs to go to a hot fuse and then a ground. I am not very good at wiring, but think this will be easy.

My only real question is where to tap into the fuse. The wire from the switch is fairly short, so I think that tapping into the fuse box on the side of the dash inside the cabin is the most likely run. They supplied just a bare wire, I think it might be a good idea to actually use a fuse splice connector or whatever they are called. Also I know there is a grommet leading thru the firewall on the drivers side of the truck, this is where the main harness passes thru, but didn't know if there was another on the passenger side somewhere or if it would be best to pass thru the drivers side grommet and then run the wire across the top of the firewall to the passenger side of the truck and then down the passenger side framerail to the cutout itself.

Any wiring guru's please assist.

the firewall grommet is the best pass threw. Just make sure that your power lead to your switch is fused. You can pull one off the block on the drivers side floor. Just use a test light or a volt meter
