I rammated all of mine, but im not sure how much of a difference in made since I did it before I got my system. The doors will take the longest and be prepared to have your hands cut up. The roof responds well to dynamat as well, really quiets down rain.

The biggest thing you can do for sound quality and mid-bass response IMO is to totally seal the doors. this means covering the holes with something prior to putting the rammat on. I used abs plastic on mine and just used a jig saw to cut out the pieces and "Right Stuff" gasket sealer from napa to seal the pieces and hold them in place while I layed the deadener over it. It is a night and day difference between my doors and stock one on my dads truck. I dont really need a sub unless I am playing rap and want the bass to be loud.

Not too much, I did the inner and out door skin of my front doors with raammat, probably added 5lbs to each door as an estimate. Well worth it even if it were 20lbs. Speakers sound amazing, plenty of bass from just the components, no need for my sub anymore, and so quiet on the roads now.

Nice! Sounds like you have a great plan on a really nice stereo. I sound deadend my roof, doors (inner and outer skins) and im waiting to get my mids and highs to start on the install. The sound deading material works great! You'll love the way it sounds driving down the highway. Im waiting to do the back wall and floor board until I start my install.
The JL HD amps are very nice and with JL quality you'll have that amp for a while. Focals are great speakers and can take a beating. Take some pics of the install and keep us informed on how everything turns out.

The website says 35lbs per roll, 1 roll is 63 sqft.
